DESCRIPTION

The LD1085isa LOW DROP Voltage Regulator
able to provide upto 3A of Output Current.
Dropoutis guaranteedata maximumof 1.5Vat
the maximum output current, decreasing at
lower loads. The LD1085is pin compatible with
older 3-terminal adjustable regulators, but has
better performancesin termof drop and output
tolerance.A 2.85V output versionis suitable for
SCSI-2 active termination. Unlike PNP
regulators, wherea partof the output currentis
wasted as quiescent current, the LD1085
quiescent current flow into the load,so increase
efficency. Onlya 10 μF minimum capacitoris
need for stability. The deviceis suppliedin
TO-220,D2 PAK andD2 PAK/A packages. On
chip trimming allows the regulatorto reacha
very tight output voltage tolerance, within± 1%25oC.
