TM FSQ211 ⎯ Green Mode Fairchild Power Switch (FPS ) April 2007 FSQ211 TM Green Mode Fairchild Power Switch (FPS ) Features Description The FSQ211 consists of an integrated Pulse Width Internal Avalanche-Rugged SenseFET Modulator (PWM) and SenseFET, specifically designed Precision Fixed Operating Frequency (67KHz) for high-performance, off-line Switch Mode Power Supplies (SMPS) with minimal external components. Burst-Mode Operation This device is an integrated high-voltage power Internal Start-up Circuit switching regulator that combines a VDMOS SenseFET Pulse-by-Pulse Current Limiting with a voltage mode PWM control block. The integrated PWM controller features include a fixed oscillator, Under Overload Protection (OLP) Voltage Lockout (UVLO) protection, Leading Edge Internal Thermal Shutdown Function (TSD) Blanking (LEB), an optimized gate turn-on/turn-off driver, Thermal Shutdown (TSD) protection, and Auto-Restart Mode temperature compensated precision-current sources for Under-Voltage Lockout (UVLO) with Hysteresis loop compensation and fault protection circuitry. Built-in Soft-Start When compared to a discrete MOSFET and controller or Secondary-Side Regulation RCC switching converter solution, the FSQ211 device reduces total component count and design size and weight, while increasing efficiency, productivity, and Applications system reliability. This device provides a basic platform well suited for cost-effective flyback converters.
