FSL156MRIN — Green-Mode Fairchild Power Switch (FPS™) June 2012 FSL156MRIN Green-Mode Fairchild Power Switch (FPS™) Features Description The FSL156MRIN is an integrated Pulse Width Advanced Soft Burst Mode for Low Standby Power Modulation (PWM) controller and SenseFET specifically and Low Audible Noise designed for offline Switched Mode Power Supplies Random Frequency Fluctuation (RFF) for Low EMI (SMPS) with minimal external components. The PWM controller includes an integrated fixed-frequency Pulse-by-Pulse Current Limit oscillator, Line-Over Voltage Protection (LOVP), Under- Overload Protection (OLP), Over-Voltage Voltage Lockout (UVLO), Leading-Edge Blanking (LEB), Protection (OVP), Abnormal Over-Current optimized gate driver, internal soft-start, temperature- Protection (AOCP), Internal Thermal Shutdown compensated precise current sources for loop (TSD) with Hysteresis, Output-Short Protection compensation, and self-protection circuitry. Compared (OSP), and Under-Voltage Lockout (UVLO) with with a discrete MOSFET and PWM controller solution, Hysteresis , Line Over Voltage Protection (LOVP) the FSL156MRIN reduces total cost, component count, size, and weight; while simultaneously increasing Low Operating Current (0.4mA) in Burst Mode efficiency, productivity, and system reliability.
