General DescriptionDS90CP04isa 4x4 digital cross-point switch with broadside
input and output pinsfor efficient board layout.It utilizes Low
Voltage Differential Swing (LVDS) technologyfor low power,
high-speed operation. Data paths are fully differential from
inputto outputfor low noise. The non-blocking architecture
allows connectionsof any inputto any outputor outputs. The
switch matrix consistsof four differential 4:1 multiplexes.
Each output channel connectsto oneof the four inputs
commontoall multiplexers. Each DS90CP04 output pairis
capableof independent operationupto 2.5Gb/s. simple serial control interfaceora configuration select port activatedbythe stateofthe MODE pin. When utilizingthe
serial control interfacea single load command will update
the new switch configurationforall outputs simultaneously.
Whenthe direct configuration portis used, output configura-
tions are updated immediately based on the decoded
SEL0/1 logic state.
