General Description
The DS3662isa quad high speed Schottkybus transceiver
intendedforuse withterminated120X impedance lines.Itis
specifically designedto reduce noisein unbalanced trans-
mission systems. The open collector drivers generate pre-
cise trapezoidal waveforms withriseandfall timesof15ns
(typical), whichare relatively independentof capacitive
loading conditionsonthe outputs. This reduces noise cou-
plingtothe adjacent lines withoutany appreciable impactthe maximum data rate obtainable with high speedbus
transceivers.In addition,the receiversusealow pass filter conjunction witha high speed comparator,to furtheren-
hancethe noise immunity. Tightly controlled thresholdlev-
elsonthe receiver provide equal rejectionto both negative
and positive going noise pulsesonthe bus.
The external terminationis intendedtobea 180X resistor
fromthebusto5V logic supply, togetherwitha 390X resis-
tor fromthebusto ground. Thebuscanbe terminatedat
oneor both ends.Atwo input NOR gateis providedtodis-
ableall driversina package simultaneously.
