The ADC1175-50 usesa unique architecture that achieves6.8 Effective Bitsat25 MHz input and50 MHz clock frequency. Output formattingis straight binary coding. The excellent DC and AC characteristicsof this device, together withits low power consumption and +5V single supply operation, makeit ideally suitedfor many video and imaging applications, including usein portable equipment. Furthermore, the ADC1175-50is resistantto latch-up and the outputs are short-circuit proof. Thetop and bottomofthe ADC1175-50’s reference ladderis availablefor connections, enablinga wide rangeof input possibilities. The low input capacitance(7pF, typical) makes this device easierto drive than conventional flash converters and the power down mode reduces power consumptionto less than5 mW.
