General Description
This seriesof CMOS 10-bitplus sign successive approxima-
tion A/D converters features versatile analog input multi-
plexers, sample/holdanda 2.5V band-gap reference.The2,4or 8-channel multiplexerscanbe software configured
for single-endedor differential modeof operation. input sample/holdis implementedbya capacitive refer-
ence ladderand sampled-data comparator. This allowsthe
analog inputto vary duringthe A/D conversion cycle.the differential mode, valid outputsare obtained even
whenthe negative inputsare greater thanthe positivebe-
causeofthe 10-bit plus sign output data format.
The serial I/Ois configuredto comply withthe NSC
MICROWIRETM serial data exchange standardfor easyin-
terfacetothe COPSTM and HPCTM familiesof controllers,
andcan easily interface with standard shift registersand
microprocessors.
