Options
General DescriptionThe ADC0844 and ADC0848 are CMOS 8-bit successive
approximation A/D converters with versatile analog input
multiplexers. The 4-channelor 8-channel multiplexers can software configured for single-ended, differentialor
pseudo-differential modesof operation.
The differential mode provides low frequency input common
mode rejection and allows offsetting the analog rangeofthe
converter.In addition, the A/D’s reference canbe adjusted
enablingthe conversionof reduced analog ranges with 8-bit
resolution.
The A/Ds are designedto operate fromthe control busofa
wide varietyof microprocessors. TRI-STATE output latches
that directly drivethe data bus permitthe A/Dstobe config-
uredas memory locationsorI/O devicestothe microproces-
sor withno interface logic necessary.
