Options
General DescriptionThe ADC0844and ADC0848 areCMOS 8-bit successiveap-
proximationA/D converters with versatile analog input multi-
plexers. The 4-channelor 8-channel multiplexers canbe
software configured for single-ended, differentialor
pseudo-differential modesof operation.
The differential mode provideslow frequency input common
mode rejectionand allows offsettingthe analog rangeofthe
converter.In addition,the A/D’s referencecanbe adjusted
enablingthe conversionof reduced analog rangeswith 8-bit
resolution.
The A/Dsare designedto operate fromthe controlbusofa
wide varietyof microprocessors. TRI-STATE® output latches
that directly drivethe databus permitthe A/Dstobe config-
ured asmemorylocationsorI/O devicestothe microproces-
sor withno interface logic necessary.
