Quad 2-Input NAND Schmitt Trigger
General DescriptionThe ’F132 contains four 2-input NAND gates which accept
standardTTL input signalsand provide standardTTL output
levels. Theyare capableof transforming slowly changingin-
put signalsinto sharply defined, jitter-free output signals.In
addition, they havea greater noisemargin than conventional
NAND gates.
Each circuit containsa 2-input Schmitt trigger followedby
level shifting circuitry anda standard FAST® output struc-
ture.The Schmitt trigger usespositive feedback toeffectively
speed-up slow input transitions,and provide different input
threshold voltagesfor positive and negative-going transi-
tions. This hysteresis between the positive-going and
negative-going input threshold (typically 800 mV)is deter-
minedby resistor ratiosandis essentially insensitiveto tem-
peratureand supply voltage variations.
