General DescriptionThe DS9636Aisa TTL/CMOS compatible, dual, single
endedline driver whichhas been specifically designedto
satisfythe requirementsofEIA Standard RS-423.
The DS9636Ais suitableforusein digital data transmission
systems where signal wave shapingis desired.The output
slew ratesare jointly controlledbya single external resistor
connectedbetweenthe waveshaping control lead (WS)and
ground. This eliminatesany needfor external filteringofthe
output signals. Output voltage levelsand slew ratesarein-
dependentof power supply variations. Current-limitingis
providedin both output states.TheDS9636Ais designedfor
nominal power suppliesof ±12V.
Inputsare TTL compatible with input current loadinglow
enough (1/10UL)tobe also compatible with CMOS logic.
Clamp diodesare providedonthe inputsto limit transients
below ground.
