The SN74HC594 is an 8-bit serial-in, parallel-out shift register with storage registers and 3-state outputs. It features a serial input (SER) and a serial output (QH') for cascading multiple devices. Data is shifted on the rising edge of the SRCLK and transferred to the storage register on the rising edge of the RCLK.
