The SN74ACT373 is an 8-bit transparent latch with 3-state outputs. It is designed for bus-oriented applications where data needs to be temporarily stored. The latch is transparent when the latch enable (LE) input is high, allowing data to pass through. When LE goes low, the data is latched. The output enable (OE) input controls the 3-state outputs, allowing multiple devices to share a common bus.
