Description and Introduction

+3V Voltage Monitoring, Low-Cost, レP Supervisory Circuits The MAX706REPA is a microprocessor (μP) supervisory circuit manufactured by Maxim Integrated. It is designed to monitor the power supply and provide reset signals to ensure proper operation of microprocessors and other digital systems.

### **Specifications:**
- **Supply Voltage Range:** 1.0V to 5.5V
- **Reset Threshold Options:** Adjustable or fixed (2.63V, 2.93V, 3.08V, 4.38V, 4.63V)
- **Reset Timeout Period:** 200ms (min)
- **Operating Temperature Range:** -40°C to +85°C
- **Package:** 8-Pin PDIP

### **Descriptions:**
- Monitors system power supply voltage and generates a reset signal if the voltage falls below a specified threshold.
- Includes a manual reset input for user-initiated resets.
- Provides both active-low and active-high reset outputs for compatibility with different logic systems.

### **Features:**
- Precision voltage monitoring
- Manual reset input
- Active-low and active-high reset outputs
- Low supply current (35μA typical)
- Guaranteed reset output valid down to VCC = 1V
- No external components required for fixed threshold versions

This device ensures reliable system operation by preventing erratic behavior during power-up, power-down, or brownout conditions.
