The MOC3052SM is a high-performance optocoupler designed for solid-state relay (SSR) applications, providing reliable isolation between low-voltage control circuits and high-voltage AC loads. This component integrates a gallium arsenide infrared emitting diode (IRED) optically coupled to a silicon bilateral switch (triac driver), ensuring safe and efficient switching of AC power without direct electrical contact.
