±15 kV ESD Protected, Slew Rate Limited, 5 V, RS-485 Transceiver The ADM483EAR-REEL is a low-power, slew-rate-limited RS-485/RS-422 transceiver manufactured by Analog Devices Inc. (ADI). It operates from a single 5V power supply and is designed for half-duplex communication. The device features a 1/8-unit load receiver input impedance, allowing up to 256 transceivers on the bus. It has a data rate of up to 250 kbps and includes a slew-rate-limited driver to minimize EMI and reduce reflections caused by improperly terminated cables. The ADM483EAR-REEL is available in an 8-lead SOIC package and is specified over the industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. It also includes thermal shutdown and short-circuit protection features.
