2.7 V to 5.5 V, 12-Bit, 8 us ADC in 8-Pin SO/DIP The AD7896JR is a 12-bit, high-speed, low-power, successive-approximation analog-to-digital converter (ADC) manufactured by Analog Devices Inc. (ADI). It operates from a single +5V power supply and features a fast conversion time of 2.5 microseconds. The device includes an on-chip track/hold amplifier, which allows it to handle input frequencies up to 1 MHz. The AD7896JR has a parallel interface for easy connection to microprocessors and DSPs. It is available in a 24-pin SOIC package and is specified over the industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. The ADC offers a typical power consumption of 10 mW at a 200 kHz sampling rate. It also includes a shutdown mode that reduces power consumption to 50 µW. The AD7896JR is designed for applications requiring high-speed data acquisition, such as digital signal processing, motor control, and instrumentation.
