DESCRIPTION/ORDERING INFORMATION

TPS652510isa power management IC with three step-down buck converters. Both high-side and low-side
MOSFETs are integratedto provide fully synchronous conversion with higher efficiency. The converters are
designedto simplifyits application while giving the designer the optionto optimize their usage accordingto the
target application.
The converters can operatein 5-, 9-, 12-or 15-V systems. The output voltage can be set externally usinga
resistor dividerto any value between 0.8V and the input supply minus the resistive drops on the converter path.
Each converter features enable pin that allowsa delayed start-up for sequencing purposes, soft start pin that
allows adjustable soft-start timeby choosing the soft-start capacitor, anda current limit (RLIM) pin that enables
designerto adjust current limitby selectingan external resistor and optimize the choiceof inductor.All converters
operatein ‘hiccup mode’: Once an over-current lasting more than10 msis sensedin anyof the converters, they
will shut down for10 ms and then the start-up sequencing willbe tried again.If the overload has been removed,
the converter will rampup and operate normally.If thisis not the case the converter will see another over-current repeating the cycle (hiccup) until the failureis cleared.If an overload condition lasts the relevant converter affected will shut-down and re-start and no global hiccup modeof the convertersis setby an external resistor connectedto ROSC pin.
