DESCRIPTION

As a member of the SWIFT™ family of dc/dc regulators,the TPS54910 low-input voltage high-output currentsynchronous buck PWM converter integrates allrequired active components. Included on the substratewith the listed features are a true, high performance,voltage error amplifier that enables maximumperformance under transient conditions and flexibility inchoosing the output filter L and C components; anunder-voltage-lockout circuit to prevent start-up untilthe input voltage reaches 3 V; an internally andexternally set slow-start circuit to limit in-rush currents;and a power good output useful for processor/logicreset, fault signaling, and supply sequencing.
The TPS54910 is available in a thermally enhanced28-pin TSSOP (PWP) PowerPAD™ package, whicheliminates bulky heatsinks. TI provides evaluationmodules and the SWIFT™ designer software tool to aidin quickly achieving high-performance power supplydesigns to meet aggressive equipment developmentcycles.
