DESCRIPTION

The TDE1798is an interface circuit delivering
high currents and capableof driving any typeof
loads.
The outputis protected from short-circuits with
the positive supplyor ground.In addition thermal
shut downis providedto keep theIC from over-
heating.If internal dissipation becomes too high,
the driver will shut downto prevent excessive
heating. The output stays null after the overloadis
off,if the reset inputis low.If high, the output will
alternatively switchon andoff until the overloadis
removed.
Higher current canbe obtainedby paralleling the
outputsof several devices.In this case, the de-
vices can be reactivated simultaneously after an
overloadif their reset input are connectedin par-
allel.
The device operates overa wide rangeof supply
voltages from standard ±15 operational amplifier
suppliesto the single ±6Vor +35V usedfor indus-
trial electronic systems. Input voltage can be
higher than the VCC. The outputis lowin open
ground conditions.
