DESCRIPTION

The Texas Instruments MSP430™ familyof ultra-low-power microcontrollers consistsof several devices featuring
different setsof peripherals targeted for various applications. The architecture, combined with five low-power
modes,is optimizedto achieve extended battery lifein portable measurement applications. The device featuresa
powerful 16-bit RISC CPU, 16-bit registers, and constant generators that contributeto maximum code efficiency.
The digitally controlled oscillator (DCO) allows wake-up from low-power modesto active modein less than1 µs.
