General Description
The MAX120 and MAX122 complete. BTCMOS, sampling
12bit analog-to-digital converters (ADCS) combine ah O'V
chip track/nod (T/H) and a Iow-dnft voltage reference w'th fast
converSTm speeds and Tow power consumption. The T/H s
350ns acquisition time combined with the MAX120's , Gps
conversion ttme results m throughput rates as thh as 500k
samples per second (ksps), Th‘oughput rates of 333ksps are
possible with the 2 Gus conversion time of the MAXT22
The M/\X'20/MAX122 accept analog input voltages from
-5V to +5V, The only external componer‘ts needed are
decoupling capacitors for the power-supply and wafer-
ence voltages. The MAX120 operates with clocks ‘h the
0,1MH2 to 8MHe frequency range. Tue MAXI 22 accepts
0. l MHz to SMHZ clock ireqsencies
The MAX120/MAX122 employ a standard microprocos-
sor (TIP) nte'facc Three-state cata outputs are cornhg-
ured to operate wth 12th data muses Data-access and
bus-release tlmlhg specifcatiors are compatible with
most popular TIPS Wlthout resorting to wait states In
additcn, the MAX120/N/AX122 can interface directly :o a
first m ftrst out (FIFO) butter. virtually ehrrhnating "
