General Description
The LMX1501Aand theLMX1511are high performancefre-
quencysynthesizers withintegrated prescalers designedfor operationupto1.1 GHz. Theyare fabricated usingNa-
tional’s ABiCIV BiCMOS process.
The LMX1501A andthe LMX1511 contain dual modulus
prescalers which can select eithera 64/65ora 128/129
divide ratioat input frequenciesofupto1.1 GHz. Usinga
proprietary digital phase locked loop technique, the
LMX1501A/11’s linear phase detector characteristicscan
generate very stable,low noise local oscillator signals.
Serial datais transferred intothe LMX1501A andthe
LMX1511viaa threeline MICROWIRETM interface (Data,
Enable, Clock). Supply voltagecan rangefrom 2.7V to5.5V.
The LMX1501Aandthe LMX1511 feature verylow current
consumption, typically6mAat3V.
The LMX1501Ais availableina JEDEC 16-pin surface
mount plastic package. The LMX1511is availableina
TSSOP 20-pin surface mount plastic package.
