General Description
The LMC6008 octal bufferis designed specificallyto buffer
the multi-level voltages goingtothe inputsofthe integrated
circuits.The LMC6008AC characteristics, including settling
time,are specifiedfora capacitive loadof0.1mFforthis
reason.
The LMC6008 contains4 high-speed buffers and4 low-
power buffers. The high-speed bufferscan provideanout-
put currentofat least250mA (minimum),andthe low-pow- bufferscanprovideat least150mA (minimum).By includ-
ingthe2 typesof buffers,the LMC6008is ableto provide
this function while consuminga supply currentof only6.5 (maximum). The buffersarea rail-to-rail design, which
typically swingto within30mVof either supply.
The LMC6008 also containsa standby function which puts
the bufferintoa high-impedance mode. The supply currentthe standby modeisalow500mA max. Also,a thermal
limit circuitis includedto protectthe device from overload
conditions.
