General Description
The LMC567isalow power general purpose LMCMOSTM
tone decoder whichis functionally similartothe industry
standard LM567.It consistsofa twice frequency voltage-
controlled oscillator (VCO) and quadrature dividers which
establishthe reference signalsfor phaseand amplitudede-
tectors. The phase detectorand VCO forma phase-locked
loop (PLL) which lockstoan input signal frequency whichis
withinthe control rangeofthe VCO.WhenthePLLis locked
andthe input signal amplitude exceedsan internally pre-set
threshold,a switchto groundis activatedonthe outputpin.
External componentssetup theoscillatortorunat twicethe
input frequencyand determinethe phaseand amplitudefil-
ter time constants.
