General DescriptionThe LM4843isa monolithic integrated circuit that provides volume control, and stereo bridged audio power amplifi-
ers capableof producing 2W into4Ω (Note1) with less than
1.0% THDor 2.2W into 3Ω (Note2) with less than 1.0%
THD.
Boomer® audio integrated circuits were designed specifically provide high quality audio while requiringa minimum
amountof external components. The LM4843 incorporatesa volume control with stereo bridged audio power amplifi-
ers makingit optimally suitedfor multimedia monitors, por-
table radios, desktop, and portable computer applications.
The LM4843 featuresan externally controlled, low-power
consumption shutdown mode, and botha power amplifier
and headphone mutefor maximum system flexibility and
performance.
