General Description
The LM136-2.5/LM236-2.5 and LM336-2.5 integratedcir-
cuitsare precision 2.5V shunt regulator diodes. These
monolithic IC voltage references operate asa
low-temperature-coefficient 2.5V zener with 0.2Ω dynamic
impedance. Athird terminalonthe LM136-2.5 allowstheref-
erence voltage and temperature coefficienttobe trimmed
easily.
The LM136-2.5 seriesis usefulasa precision 2.5Vlow volt-
age referencefor digital voltmeters, power suppliesorop
amp circuitry.The 2.5V make itconvenientto obtain astable
reference from5V logic supplies. Further, since the
LM136-2.5 operatesasa shunt regulator,itcanbe usedas
eithera positiveor negative voltage reference.
The LM136-2.5is ratedfor operation over −55˚Cto +125˚C
whilethe LM236-2.5is rated overa −25˚Cto +85˚C tem-
perature range.
The LM336-2.5is ratedfor operation overa0˚Cto +70˚C
