General DescriptionThe LM3224isa step-up DC/DC converter witha 0.15Ω
(typ.), 2.45A (typ.) internal switch andpin selectable operat-
ing frequency. With the abilityto convert 3.3Vto multiple
outputsof 8V, -8V, and 23V,the LM3224isan ideal partfor
biasing TFT displays. Withthe high current switchitis also
idealfor driving high current white LEDsfor flash applica-
tions. The LM3224 canbe operatedat switching frequencies 615kHz and 1.25MHz allowingfor easy filtering and low
noise.An external compensationpin givesthe user flexibility setting frequency compensation, which makes possible
the useof small, low ESR ceramic capacitorsatthe output. external soft-start pin allows the userto control the
amountof inrush current during start up. The LM3224is
availableina low profile 8-lead MSOP package.
