General DescriptionThe LM2733 switching regulators are current-mode boost
converters operating fixed frequencyof1.6 MHz (“X” option)
and 600 kHz (“Y” option).
The useof SOT-23 package, made possiblebythe minimal
power lossof the internal1A switch, and useof small induc-
tors and capacitors resultin the industry’s highest power
density. The 40V internal switch makes these solutions per-
fectfor boostingto voltagesof 16Vor greater.
These parts havea logic-level shutdown pin that canbe
usedto reduce quiescent current and extend battery life.
Protectionis provided through cycle-by-cycle current limiting
and thermal shutdown. Internal compensation simplifies de-
sign and reduces component count.
