General DescriptionThe LM2696isa pulse width modulation (PWM) buck regu-
lator capableof deliveringupto3A intoa load. The control
loop utilizesa constant on-time control scheme with input
voltage feed forward. This providesa topology that has
excellent transient response without the needfor compen-
sation. The input voltage feed forward ensures thata con-
stant switching frequencyis maintained acrossthe entire VIN
range.
The LM2696is capableof switching frequenciesinthe range 100 kHzto 500 kHz. Combined withan integrated 130 mΩ
high side NMOS switchthe LM2696 can utilize small sized
external components and provide high efficiency.An internal
soft-start and power-good flag are also providedto allowfor
simple sequencing between multiple regulators.
The LM2696is available withan adjustable outputinan
exposed pad TSSOP-16 package.
