General Description
The LM1871isa complete six-channel digital proportional
encoderandRF transmitter intendedforuseasalow pow-
er, non-voice, unlicensed communication deviceat carrier
frequenciesof27 MHzor49 MHz witha field strengthof
10,000 mV/meterat3 meters.In additionto radio controlled
hobby,toyand industrial applications,the encoder section
can providea serial inputofsix wordsfor hard wired, infra-
redor fiber optic communication links. Channeladd logicis
providedto controlthe numberof encoded channels from
threetosix, allowing increased design flexibility. When used
withthe LM1872RC receiver/decoder, alow costRF linked
encoderand decoder system providestwo analogandtwo
ON/OFF decoded channels.
