General DescriptionThe LM1770isan efficient synchronous buck switching con-
trollerina tiny SOT23 package.The constant on-time control
scheme providesa simple design freeof compensation com-
ponents, allowing minimal component count and board
space.It also incorporatesa unique input feed-forwardto
maintaina constant frequency independentofthe input volt-
age. The LM1770is optimizedfora low voltage input range 2.8Vto 5.5V and can providean adjustable outputas low 0.8V. Drivingan external high side PFET and low side
NFETit can provide efficienciesas highas 95%.
Three versionsof the LM1770 are available dependingon
the switching frequency desiredforthe application. Nominal
switching frequencies arein the rangeof 100kHzto
1000kHz.
