Dedicatedto the protectionof sensitive telecom
equipment, the LCP3121 provides protection
which can be programmedby both voltage and
current.
Thebreakdownvoltagecanbe easilyprogrammed usingan externalzener diode.
Theprotectionfunctionprogrammedby the current achieved with the useofa resistor between the
gate and the cathode.The valueof the resistor will
determine the levelof the desired current before
the triggeringof thedevice. multipleprotectionmodeis alsoperformed when
using several diodes providing each line interface
withan optimized protection level. desired,a bidirectionalprotectionfunctioncanbe
achievedby the useof twoLCP3121.
