DESCRIPTION

The 74VHC157is an high-speed CMOS QUAD
2-CHANNEL MULTIPLEXER fabricated with
sub-micron silicon gate and double-layer metal
wiringC2 MOS technology. consistsof four 2-input digital multiplexers with
common select and strobe inputs.It isa
non-inverting multiplexer. When the STROBE
inputis held high, selectionof datais inhibited
and all the outputs become low. The SELECT
decoding determines whether theAorB inputs
get routedto their correspondingY outputs.
Power down protectionis provided on all inputs
and0to 7V can be acceptedon inputs with no
regardto the supply voltage. This device canbe
usedto interface 5Vto 3V.All inputs and outputs
are equipped with protectioncircuits against static
discharge, giving them 2KV ESD immunity and
transient excess voltage.
