General Description
The DS90CF581 transmitterconverts28bitsof CMOS/TTL
data into four LVDS (Low Voltage Differential Signaling)
data streams.A phase-locked transmit clockis transmitted
inparallelwiththe data streams overafifth LVDSlink. Every
cycleofthe transmit clock28bitsof input dataare sampled
and transmitted. The DS90CF582 receiver convertsthe
LVDS data streams back into28bitsof CMOS/TTL data.At transmit clock frequencyof40 MHz,24bitsof RGB data
and4 bitsof LCD timing and control data (FPLINE,
FPFRAME, DRDY, CNTL)are transmittedata rateof
280 Mbpsper LVDS data channel. Usinga40 MHz clock,
the data throughputis 140 Megabytesper second. The
chipsetisan ideal meansto solveEMIand cablesize prob-
lems associated with wide, high speed TTL interfaces.
