General Description
The DS89C386isa high speed twelve channel CMOS dif-
ferential receiver that meets the requirementsof TIA/EIA-
422-B.The DS89C386 features low power dissipationof 240 typical.
Each TRI-STATE® enable, EN, allowsthe receiver outputto activeorina Hi-impedanceoff state. Each enableis
commonto only two receiversfor flexibility and multiplexing receiver outputs.
The receiver output (RO)is guaranteedtobe High whenthe
inputs are left open and unterminated. The receiver can
detect signalsas low and including ±200 mV overthe com-
mon mode rangeof ±7V. The receiver outputs (RO) are
compatible with both TTL and CMOS levels.
