General Description

The DS34C87Tisa quad differential line driver designedfor
digital data transmission over balanced lines. The
DS34C87T meetsall the requirementsof EIA standard
RS-422 while retaining the low power characteristicsof
CMOS. This enables the constructionof serial and terminal
interfaces while maintaining minimal power consumption.
The DS34C87T accepts TTLor CMOS input levels and
translates theseto RS-422 output levels. This part uses
special output circuitry that enablesthe individual driversto
power down without loading downthe bus. This device has
separate enable circuitryfor each pairof the four drivers.
The DS34C87Tispin compatibleto the DS3487T.
All inputs are protected against damage dueto electrostatic
dischargeby diodesto VCC and ground.
