General Description
The ADC0831 seriesare 8-bit successive approximation
A/D converters witha serialI/Oand configurable input mul-
tiplexers withupto8 channels. The serialI/Ois configured comply withthe NSC MICROWIRETM serial dataex-
change standardfor easy interfacetothe COPSTM familyof
processors, andcan interface with standard shift registers mPs.
The2-,4-or 8-channel multiplexersare software configured
for single-endedor differential inputsaswellas channelas-
signment.
The differential analog voltage input allows increasingthe
common-mode rejection and offsettingthe analog zeroin-
put voltage value.In addition,the voltage reference input
canbe adjustedto allow encodingany smaller analog volt-
age spantothefull8bitsof resolution.
