DESCRIPTION

The 74VHCT138Ais an advanced high-speed
CMOS3 TO8 LINE DECODER (INVERTING)
fabricated with sub-micron silicon gate and
double-layermetal wiringC2 MOS technology. the deviceis enabled,3 binary select inputs (A, andC) determine which oneof the outputs will low.If enable input G1is held lowor either
G2Aor G2Bis held high, the decoding functionis
inhibited andall the8 outputsgoto high.
Three enable inputs are provided to ease
cascade connection and applicationof address
decodersfor memory systems.
Power down protectionis provided on all inputs
and outputs and0to 7V can be accepted on
inputs with no regardto the supply voltage. This
device canbe usedto interface5Vto 3V.
All inputs and outputs are equipped with
protection circuits against static discharge, giving
them 2KV ESD immunity and transient excess
voltage.
