DescriptionThe TPS22960isa small low-rON dual-channel load
switch with controlled turnon. The devices contain two
P-channel MOSFETs that can operate over an input
voltage rangeof 1.62Vto 5.5 V. Each switchis
independently controlled by on/off inputs (ON1 and
ON2), which are capableof interfacing directly with
low-voltage control signals.In TPS22960a 85-Ω on-
chip load resistoris added for quick discharge when
the switchis turned off.
The rise time (slew-rate)of the deviceis internally
controlledin orderto avoid inrush current, andit can slowed downif needed using the SR pin:at 3.3V,
TPS22960 featuresa 75-μs rise time with the SR pin
tiedto ground and 660-μs with the SR pin tiedto
high.
The TPS22960is availableina space-saving 8-pin
UQFN package andin an 8-pin SOT package.Itis
characterized for operation over the free-air
temperature rangeof –40°Cto 85°C.
